NZSQ viola player Gillian Ansell can’t wait to meet, hear and be around the wonderful Ying Quartet: “They are quite a legend for their wonderful playing, the fact that they were all from one family (though they have recently changed 1st violinists so there are now only three siblings) but also for their famous community work. They spent a year in a small town in the US, Jesup, Iowa, and apparently converted the whole town to classical music. They are said to be vey special people and, as I have never met them, I’m dying to.”
