Celebrate the Opening of our 10th Festival in style! We proudly introduce our visiting quartet, the Pražák, one of Europe’s leading ensembles. They play one of their favourite quartets, the passionate ‘From My Life’ by Smetana. There’s the seductive artistry of Carolyn Mills’ harp in Ravel’s scintillating Introduction and Allegro, and the ethereal magic of Bridget Douglas’ flute in Debussy's hypnotic Syrinx. Then be refreshed with Exitus by Michael Norris, the first of several Festival world premieres.
