Bridget Douglas flute and Carolyn Mills harp
Bridget Douglas and Carolyn Mills have been musical collaborators for a number of years. They are both Principal players in the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and members of Wellington based contemporary ensemble Stroma. They say the name Flight denotes light, energy and inspiration - elements they like to incorporate into their performances.

Bridget Douglas studied at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Whilst in the USA, she won several competitions including the Artists International Award resulting in a debut recital at Carnegie Hall in 1997.

Carolyn Mills became the first-ever harpist to win the prestigious Boston University Concerto-Aria Competition and has been Principal Harpist of the NZSO since 1989. She has performed in six continents, including Antarctica.
